Fragile Existence Edition

I made my visual experiments from Fragile Existence into a book format. I wrote some stories about my memories and drew the connection between my personal experience and my works. I used a lot of metaphors, in order to keep it open for interpretation. The stories elevated and gave meaning to the visual images. The visual becomes an abstract poetic storytelling element.
I am sitting on one side of the dining table with my webcam on. Feeling the white knitted blanket between my finger. I watch another me on the screen imitate my moves. The sunlight filters through the window and shines on the crystal wine glasses behind me. So fragile, but pretty. A voice interrupts the stillness. The therapist says,
“You have to sit down and remember all the times you lost your voice in order to find your voice.”
As his head exploded, a flower grew from the crack of his head and rooted in his brain. A warm current sprang up through his throat. He was going to vomit, but splashed into a beautiful painting. All the movement, all the drops, myriads of streams flowed into rivers and seas, from all directions, echoing each other, slowly intersecting. Black and Red. He could feel the pulse vibrate on the paper. They were alive.
He held my hands firmly, tightly. His strength contained my softness. The warmth almost melted my hands. The blood flowed through my palms. He raised both his hands up high in the air as if in slow motion, leading, almost forcing my hands to go with him. He looked in my eyes proudly, confidently. “You are good.”
“I am good.”
